Proto-paths. Panorama
Although you may not believe, Rise of the Runelords was not the first Paizo Adventure Path. The subject of Paths was born much earlier, when the publisher was responsible for publishing the magazines Dungeon and Dragon until the evil Wizards cut off the jet to be dedicated to its 4 th edition and publish them electronically. Much better, where it goes.
The fact is that during that time were born in Dungeon Adventure Paths , very long campaign for Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 set in the world of Greyhawk (although the magazine offered adjustments to place them in the Forgotten Realms or Eberron) that carried the characters from their unfortunate start in level 1 to level 20 epic outcomes, level up, level down. The type of periodical made possible a melodramatic type campaign, with more or less autoconclusivos adventure in each issue that followed the same plot. They were stories that began with a seemingly innocuous trigger (within harmless it may be a robbery, an assault goblin and the like) but ended up pulling the wool in a monumental pifostios. Thus, three were three daughters Ellen, three were three and all three were good:
Shackled City , the forerunner, published in Nos. 97 to 116. A story that unfolded in the city of Cauldron (Cauldron), located at the mouth of a dormant volcano. Anyway ... and, if it was coming. Ready, which it says ready, not that they were the founders. But I will not give spoilers. The campaign took a jug of Ennio (if you know what I think of them) and was later collected in a Tomazo that included much additional material and some great maps. I have it. Is in balance. You are already late, it is a wonder.
Age of Worms , Published in Nos. 124 to 135. Starts in Diamond Lake, a mining town, while giving the characters the opportunity to travel to famous landmarks such as the Free City of Greyhawk. Neither this nor the next campaign came to be collected in one volume, I guess the loss of rights by Paizo.
Savage Tide, published in Nos. 139 to 150, the finale of the Dungeon . Set in the port city of Sarassine, north of Cauldron but fail to develop even in the legendary Isle of Dread (if the the Isle of Dread X1 module). Start with a much more piratuelo but ends like the previous two, with travel to other planes of existence in which pineapple given almost divine beings, which is almost imperative to develop games based on certain levels of power. Path was the first to offer a Player's Guide to the players to give some data on the atmosphere and help to create characters that are well integrated into the campaign. Then everyone goes to phone and always do the Martian, but ... You can still download for free from this LINK!
The three campaigns are highly recommended. Highly. Needless to nothing to play them Pathfinder and very little to do with Castles & Crusades . So you have no excuse. You can find Dungeon magazines in which they were published in this LINK! or that other LINK! . I do not know if they are discontinued enough to know if I'm committing a crime or not to post this link. So, as a priest would not tell anyone, will be our little secret.
